Lean In and McKinsey & Company publish an annual report on Women in the Workplace, many public companies communicate their D&I statistics, legislators are passing new laws (like California’s Senate Bill 826, which requires publicly held companies based in California to have a minimum of one woman on their boards of directors by the end of 2019). From societal impact to business competitive advantage, why does this topic matter so much? What is the lay of the land? What are the best practices?
