Bank of the West and the Women Initiative Foundation (WIF) cordially invite you to attend a panel discussion on Cyber-Security.

Why this topic?
What happens if your connected pacemaker or self-driving car is hacked? Are smart toys actually spying on your children? Is Russia controlling the US electric grid? With the Internet of Things and the increased global access to the Internet, our world becomes increasingly connected and hence hackable and vulnerable.

The field of cybersecurity is growing rapidly, with a need to solve problems that the world never encountered before: from protecting data and processes in the cloud, to automating and orchestrating advanced systems, to national security…

There is a large shortage of skilled cyber professionals, and women are a valuable resource that can help bridge that gap. How could companies and public organizations create paths and incentives for more women to join the field? How to leverage diversity of thought and experience “as a weapon”?
