First woman president of the Paris Bar (1998-2000).
Dominique de la Garanderie has for many years taught law at the University Paris II and the ESCP Business School and educational courses in her speciality.
She has founded several associations : Centre National des Avocats Employeurs (National centre for legal employers), l’Association des Médiateurs Européens (Association of European Mediators), l’Association des Femmes Juristes (Association of Women Legal Advisors) and l’Institut Français des Experts Juridiques Internationaux (French Institute of International Legal Advisors) of which she is the president.
She is a former member of the Commission Nationale Consultative des Droits de l’Homme (National Commission for Human Rights) and member of the Comité d’Ethique (Ethics Committee) of the MEDEF (National Confederation of French Employers).
She is also an independent Director of Renault, and of Holcim France Benelux.
